This is a one-year course designed to emphasize welding skills in the advanced stage of Arc welding, MIG, and TIG welding. The primary emphasis of the program is utilizing skills necessary to perform out-of-position welding. Students will learn the proper use and maintenance of paint spray equipment that will allow them to apply finishes to completed projects. Blueprints reading and measuring will be included in the course content.
Student organizations and activities will be used as a teaching strategy. Students meeting course competencies are eligible for a certificate from the Fresno Regional Occupational Program. State certification may also be obtained.
